  • HACCP is focused on critical control points (CCPs) in the production process, whereas ISO 22000 looks at all possible hazards that could affect food safety, including CCPs.
  • ISO 22000 requires top management commitment, whereas HACCP does not. This means that with ISO 22000, food safety is given high priority by those at the top of the organizational hierarchy, which filters down throughout the company.
